Recap from TJ Hawke:

Story of the Match

The rudos were working Storm over for a while until Hero accidentally sent him to the floor. Milano then became the legal man, but he was immediately cut off and then worked over. Milano then got accidentally sent to the floor. Quack entered the match but suffered the same fate as Milano. Rinse, lather, repeat with Jigsaw. The match broke down after Milano made a hot tag. This sequence featured a ton of fun action. Storm eventually finished Akuma with That Japanese Move.

Analysis

While this match went too long for me to consider it great in any way, I did like it enough overall. The story of the Kings repeatedly allowing the tecnico team to tag out (by accident) was quite weird, and I don’t know how I feel about it. It mostly seemed to make the Kings look stupid while the tecnicos weren’t strong enough to tag out on their own. That makes me think it’s stupid, but I don’t know. Regardless, there was a ton of a fun action down the stretch to make up for the slow-ish start.

Match Rating: ***1/4
