This was Máscara contra Cabellera.

So, this was a bit underwhelming. A mask vs. hair match in Chikara is the culmination of a HUGE feud. These two men HATED each other by this point. Why were they trading holds? Why was the pace so methodical? Why was almost all the action taking place in the ring? Give me an intense brawl every single time in this situation.

Now, there were some advantages of the “slow burn” match they worked. The overbooking towards the end (finisher-kickouts, spots with Gran Akuma and Shane Storm, etc.) got very big reactions, and it was important that all those things came across as important. They lost me on the journey towards those points though. By the time Jigsaw finished Icarus with a super Jig ‘n’ Tonic, I did not care all that much. I appreciated the effort though. It just was not for me. (**1/4)
