This match was for the Kings’ Campeonatos de Parejas.

This match was really done well. The Kings were not taking F.I.S.T. seriously enough at first and that allowed the “underdogs” to pick up the first fall clean. The Kings stepped up their game and then took the second fall. Then the third fall was executed in a very unpredictable manner. Icarus was attacked between the final two falls and removed from the ring, Thus, you would expect that Akuma would either succumb to the King’s overwhelming force or survive *just* long enough for Icarus to recover. Instead, Akuma managed to take out Hero and catch Claudio with a Yoshi Tonic out of nowhere to pick up the tag titles for his team within a couple of minutes! I love when matches defy typical match structures because so much of wrestling is very predictable. GOOD stuff. (***1/2)
